One of the great benefits and joys for gay travelling (04/27/2012) ... Throughout the last century, but especially during World War II, gay men from small farming communities, big-city ghettos, and medium-sized industrial centers all over America traveled extensively through service in the armed forces. Many scholars consider those servicemen’s travel experiences one of the driving causes behind the founding of such gay organizations back home as the Mattachine Society.
Having found established gay society abroad, and having seen how large their own numbers were, many American gay servicemen felt driven to continue to associate with other gays, and to found their own versions of the gay clubs, bars, restaurants, salons, and theaters they had experienced while “on leave.”
In the 1960s, with the advent of discounted jet travel, large numbers of American college students began to spend summers abroad in Europe, North Africa, and the Far East. Many of these students found their experiences with foreign gay cultures to be sexually liberating, even life-altering....

Recognizing Domestic Violence Victims in the Workplace (02/24/2012) ... In fact, it has been found that 75% of abusers have used communications such as work email or phone calls, or visited the workplace of the victim to further threaten their partner. This is a frightening scenario not just for the victim, but for her fellow employees
Recognizing signs that someone is being abused could help protect a domestic abuse victim, and lead her to support for her situation. A place of work should be a safe place for an individual and their co-workers, so it is in everyone's best interest to look for the signs and take steps to be supportive. Warning signs can include social withdrawal from co-workers, visible bruises, emotional outbursts on the phone, or frequent calls which leave them upset. Lateness or frequent absences are common among victims, as well as reduced productivity and poor job performance....

Tips on Tipping: Who; When; How Much (09/25/2011) ...
Coat checking: Fifty cents to one dollar per coat is fine. The more expensive the establishment (or the bigger the city), the higher the tip.
Ladies’ room attendant: If the attendant provides service—including handing you a towel—tip twenty-five to fifty cents. If she assists you in any special way, tip one dollar. If the person sits in a chair and does nothing, feel free to leave without tipping....
Gift Giving Tips (09/14/2011) ...
3. Be careful when giving liquor. A good bottle of wine is perfect for a connoisseur, tactless for a teetotaler.
4. Get the holiday right....
Foreign Phrases You Should Know when Hosting a Party (09/02/2011) ...
2. Bon mot (French). Literally, bon means “good” and mot means “word.” Together the phrase means “a witty remark.” You wouldn’t ask someone to put in a bon mot for you with your boss, but you might congratulate your boss on her bon mot at the last staff meeting—thereby putting in a good word for yourself!

Holiday Inn Glasgow (06/17/2011) ... Glasgow also has a diverse number of companies covering the finance, business services, communications, biosciences, technology, healthcare, education and performing arts sectors. Together with retail, tourism and banking these bring in enormous revenue, with billions invested each year. Glasgow's high tech enterprises make it part of the "Silicon Glen" area, but despite prestigious new developments like the Glasgow Science Centre and Glasgow Tower (Scotland's tallest building) the city has not neglected its history and heritage. Museums, art galleries and heritage buildings vie with the chic new shopping malls, and towers of the business district. With a large number of fund raising and charity events, as well as a burgeoning residential population, booking conference rooms for business and private functions is an everyday part of Glaswegian life....
Homosexuality and the Nature vs Nuture Debate (06/16/2011) ..."
On the other end, there are many arguments supporting the idea that people become gay sometime after birth. Pro-gay activists who value freedom of choice tend not to like the born gay hypothesis both because it takes away freedom from the individual and also because it's essentially a negative way of viewing homosexuality, as something abnormal that someone is cursed with, like a congenital disease. While few claim to explain why someone would become gay, as very few gays can identify a moment when they became gay, they simply see it a question of personal choice that should be defended in a free and liberal society.
Anti-gay arguments tend to emphasize this for the same reasons mentioned earlier: that a person who chooses to become gay is then guilty of a "sin" because they are willfully living lives that go against social and religious conventions.
Whether we are born gay or become gay is definitely a major question that might never get a straight answer....
Did you know blogs have a sexual orientation (06/13/2011) ... Much to the general public shock and awe not all gay blogs are porn. Same basic stereotypes different generation. I know how pedestrian. If fact most of the ones
I read at least are witty and funny and just like every other blog that people care about except gay blogs involve the gay community more. Two gay guys on after elton....
Peace Between Gays and Heteros (06/13/2011) ...uab.edu/Sites/students/life/safe-zone/33566/.
Only now have gays come out of protective hiding. Why even today, the don't say and don't tell attitude still prevails because of protective measures for gays. When you read newspapers you can easily see that there is good and bad in every country....
First dates dos and donts (05/31/2010) ... As an example, don't put on cloth that you would not normally wear. If you "act" on the first date, then you are being someone else, not a person she has initially agreed to go out with. Let your true colors shine through. Be relaxed and just go with the flow.

Event Planning Tips (05/13/2010) ... Make sure you update your budget frequently after purchases and plan ahead to stay on track!
Event Planning Professionals:
If you are a busy person, there are off-commission event planning companies that offer free services to their clients. They can help you with all of your needs for free because they get a commission from the venue, vendors, caterers, and other companies that they work with. They can also help advertise and find sponsors for your event. This could be a much less stressful way to go about planning your special event. I know a great company in the New York area that specializes in this type of event planning, called Event Premiere....
What means Coming Out in the Gay world (03/28/2010) ... They all seem to be having fun. In the water two slender fellows are sitting on the shoulders of beefier guys and playing war. Near you, another group, all well built and methodically tanned, are playing cards on a blanket and listening to a radio. Right next to you is a man who appears, like you, to be alone. The sun is so glaring you turn on your stomach and rest your head on your arm....
Gay Bars (03/27/2010) ... A young dance crowd will go to one; older men will frequent another. In one, the latest fashions are on display; in another, outfits will be more casual or punkier; in another, body piercing and tattoos will predominate and be deemed erotic; while another bar may be given over to chaps, engineer boots, and black motorcycle jackets. There are also neighborhood bars somewhat like the ones in small towns, bars for post-retirement-age men, bars arranged around a piano where a singer belts out musical numbers and others join in, bars kept dim or with specific darker rooms where men can neck and grope each other, in effect “trying out the merchandise” before leaving together. If you’re just entering the bar scene or if you’ve just moved to a new city, you’ll need to scout around. Local gay newspapers (“bar rags”), the Gayellow Pages, and Damron’s Guides usually list bars, along with codes explaining any specialization....
Gay Baths (03/27/2010) ... Some gay bathhouses do still exist and are, oddly enough, more prevalent in smaller cities than in larger ones, and mostly in the American South and Midwest and in Europe. (Although recently the few remaining in large cities have expanded as a result of increased popularity.) Lately sex clubs have replaced them. Should you find yourself near a bathhouse, you may want to go in and at least look around. Lockers (cheaper) and rooms (more expensive) are usually available, the former often in a gymlike changing-room area....
The influences for fulfilling lives (01/18/2010) ...The fulfillment of these ideas into actions is the work of people who give a direction for the journey, which we begin with desires for happiness in our lives and it is with the practice of discipline that we arrive at the aims for our dreams. These are the stages in our lives which shapes our character for the purpose of living within the conditions of our societies.
Most human beings find happiness within the influences of their families and friends. When our societies become larger and bring in newer conditions and cultures into the existing homes on our journey for happiness we are stressed by the aspects of coping with these unfamiliar principles. These situations make us choose the ease of being confined within our families and resisting the challenges of people from unknown cultures....
Best reasons to send a Gift Basket (01/06/2010) ...
Reason two:
Choosing a quality gift basket to send to your friends or family is a good choice because you will be able to send them something that they can use for a long period, if they don't choose to keep it forever. The reason for this is that if you choose quality gift baskets, such as the ones you see on Giftbasketsdeluxe.com you will be choosing a gift basket that is made from something that your family or friends can decorate their home with. Usually what happens with gift baskets is that they are simply thrown away after everything is eaten or put to use, if they even make it that far.
Reason three:
Another reason that you should a gift basket as a gift is because it is something that you can add to later on, plus it is really simply to add to it at a later date....
